An impressive set of six antique French leather covered chairs. These chairs date from 1860 and were acquired at the same time as the French Antique extension table also in our collection. Forty years ago the family had this set of six chairs professionally recovered, hence the superb condition of the leather. The tooled leather seat and back showing exquisite flowing floral design with the classic French 'coquille', scallop shell, motif topping the stiles and spindled column leg.
