The same company that produced the 'Elephant Tapestry' that hung in the Louvre Museum in Paris. Made in pure wool by the method of 'Au Point Noue' which refers to the latch hook method of rugmaking. Traditionally done by hand but in this case machine made. Mechanisation of rugs began in the 19th century in Aubusson.
