Limoges is known the world over for it's hard paste translucent porcelain. This set from Limoges dates from as early as the turn of the 19th century. A frill edge to the buttom of the cups and unusually ornate handles combined with the rose pattern make this set an eye catcher. The small 'demi-tasse' cups are suitable for either tea or coffee. Extremely hard to find complete sets of antique Limoges Porcelain this set was produced for the domestic French market. Made up of eight cups and saucers, a coffe or tea pot, a milk jug and sugar bowl.
